With these criteria in mind, they made their final selections and created the Observatory's simulations. Finally, they chose LEGO Star Wars: Castaways' locations based on which moments from Star Wars history had physical LEGO sets modeled after them. They admit in their interview that they purposely chose moments from varied biomes so that players would have diverse areas to explore, and they also wanted to pick moments with diverse color palettes to keep players intrigued and visually satiated. What they ultimately chose to include in Castaways is a diverse range of locations that take players down memory lane. They state, though, that more content based on the other films will be coming to Castaways at some point in the future. ![]() They studied all 9 Stars Wars films for this LEGO game crossover but noted that much of the content in the game at present is rooted in the original film trilogy. However, they also needed to add moments that would translate well to being played in a video game. When creating the Observatory and its simulations, Durand and Kaburis knew that they needed to include moments that would be memorable to players. ![]()
